My Lord (Rothvale Legacy #2) by Raine Miller
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Ivan and Gabrielle’s steamy weekend at his magnificent estate continues in the second book in Raine Miller’s Rothvale Legacy saga. Where the first book, Priceless, was Ivan’s chasing Gaby, My Lord is their deeply passionate path to love. Oh, and this love story is sweltering and “something of the marvelous” to be sure. We pick up right where Priceless left our couple. Ivan’s invitation to Gaby to stay on at his estate to catalogue his extensive art collection while also submitting to his dominant needs. (BTW Priceless is a must read first and right now it is free on Kindle Unlimited – you will love it!)

Ivan (our kinky Lord Rothvale XIII) has become one of my favorite book boyfriend hotties. At every turn he is kissing Gaby and totally enthralled with her, especially after screwing up the first two encounters with her. This third time is a charm, and he falls fast. Now he has her in his grasp, and he is not letting her go. Even with his wealth and good looks, he has some past indiscretions that rear their ugliness. Specifically, our new villain, Park Jin-ho. Ivan’s nemesis makes a “digital” appearance which seems to set up some potential drama for the next Rothvale installment “Heart and Arrow.”

Gabriella has finally warmed up to Ivan, even after his previous jerk shenanigans. As she wonders around his Irish estate Donadea, she is mesmerized by all the exquisite art. Mostly unknown to the art world-at-large and probably worth millions. All these priceless paintings just hanging around in Ivan’s estate. The visual descriptions of these artistic marvels are all throughout the story. Most of these paintings tie us back to Ivan’s great, great grandmother, Lady Imogene. Gaby has some secrets of her own that she frequently frets about, but we have not really gotten the scoop as a reader, yet.
Their romance is all the swoony fabulousness we have come to adore from Raine Miller! She has penned the perfect follow-up to Ethan and Brynne from her Blackstone Affair series. Ivan and Gabrielle will hopefully have a long list of sexy adventures, as well. So many parts of My Lord connect this story to Raine’s Muse as well. The Muse is a historical romance that tells the story of Ivan’s ancestors (Graham and Imogene) and the creation of the paintings central to this story. My Reading order: Priceless , The Muse, My Lord — I am talking a binge-reading frenzy for all these Raine Miller Rothvale series books. You will thank me later!
